Thinking about buying a 7' or 8' shredder next summer , what are y"alls" opinion on getting a 7' single gear box verses an 8' with 2 gear boxes considering the price difference etc., I have a 5' and a 6' now , and the 5' just seems to make a cleaner cut than the 6', also , what is your opinion on a drag type verses 3 point ?? I"ve never used a drag type. I"m using a 50hp Ford 4000 diesel .

The 7' single spindle cutter will be more than your 50 HP tractor can handle if you are in tall grass. The two spindlr 8' will take 25% less HP and give a cleaner cut than the 7' machine. There is a big price difference because the 8' cutter has 3 gearboxes.
