I need a newer baler, I have a 14t, I was wondering what is the newest john deere I can get with its own engine. I have a unique set of reasons why I can only use an engine driven baler. And why are they so darn hard to find? If I have to I can get a fairly new one and convert it, but would rather not have to go through that.

A engined powered baler would be nice for some of us with real antique equipment...Anyone ever convert a normal PTO power baler to have its own engine??? If anyone has i would be interested in hearing about it...

Hotline Guide lists both a 336 and a 346 MOTOR baler, using the Wisconsin VH4D. There don't seem to be any 3x7 or 3x8 series balers that use auxilliary engines though! I'd have to guess that a 336 engine baler would be real scarce!

I have a 24T that came with a Wis 2-cyl. It was underpowered so I addded a second one over the plunger chamber, vee belted to the same flywheel as the original one. Works excellent.

Maybe you could find another 14T and then you would have one for parts. I am sure that someone will respond with other ideas and just happen to have one for sale! This is a disscussion board I thought.
