I have what I believe to be a JD 810A 3-16 plow. The frame the you mount the 3 pt to breaks loose when you hit an obstruction instead of having trips on the standards like most JD plows. The plow was ginving to me by a nieghbor and looks as if it hasnt been used in a few years, so it needs some scouring before it will be right, but since it was free i wont complain. Im trying to hook it to either a 4010 (overkill for 3-16's i know) or a 2555. My problem is the way the pens are on the plow it doesnt give me enough clearence between the coltlers and the lift arm...so i thought of moving the pen on the furrow side to the outside of the lift frame instead of the inside as it is now. After i figure out how to work my dig. camera i will post some pics of the plow. Thank yall
John

We need a picture... I have a hunch you have what Deere called an "801 hitch".

They will hitch up to a standard Catagory II hitch, but the over-all geometry just isn't right. Try to get a picture. I have a few manuals for 810 plows. Maybe we can sort this out....John

Thanks Indy...I hope to get a pic soon, but I dont generally get off work until 5 pm and by then its usually dark...give me a day or 2 and I will get us some pics posted. BTW if it turns out it is an 800 series plow would you be willing to sell a manual? Keep in touch and hound me about it otherwise Ill forget. Again thank you
John

I can either sell you a manual or copy one. Let's see what kind of plow you have first. There are dozens of choices....

Meanwhile, I'll look and see if I still have the old 810 plow behind the shop that I have been cannabalizing for parts over the years. If I still have it, and there's enough left to make a picture worthwhile, I'll post one.

I have a small collection of moldboard plows. (16 of 'em now) Most are John Deere. I'm planning on restoring a 3 x 16" 810 when I find a suitable candidate. John
