I was thinking of buying a Dearborn 2 Disc Plow for my Ford 8n. I was wondering what everyones opinion was on how they work verses a 2 Bottom Plow? I have alot of shale outcroping which bring everything to a HALT & also in a different spot, muck land. THANKS

I learned to plow with a disk plow and like the way they turn under trash or manure crops. I also agree with what has been said about using them in rocky ground.

Where I live in Southwest Mo, we have a lot if flint and limestone. A disc plow will scrach where flint are thick and drop in 8 or 9 inches where there are no rock. Use the scrapers to adj. the flow of dirt where there are no rock, to level. I have had an H turn side ways in the furrow when I hit a solid rock. The disc will just roll around on a solid rock and not break anything.

Endy,

Those conditions demand a disk plow. You wont regret getting it.
