I have read a lot about older corn pickers, mostly New Idea, but are there any new 1 or 2 row corn pickers being made and sold in the US today? If so - who?

Thanks!
Bill

Guys down road have a 3-30 JD picker that is no more than 5-6 years old, they pick corn to feed calves every year.

Deere stopped making pickers with the 300A pulltype in 1981, so it"s older than you think if it"s a Deere. There was an outfit in Iowa making pickers (can"t remember their name) until the mid-90"s using JD heads. Basically a "you order, we build" type deal.

Tim,

You're right about the sweet corn pickers. I've seen at least one in operation near Cedar Rapids, Iowa in recent years, but I don't know how new it is.

Stan
