I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone here on this discussion board a very Happy Thanksgiving day. I personally am so very very thankful to live in the greatest nation on the planet. I would not want to live anywhere else. I'm also very very thankful for the men and women in uniform who are sacrificing their lives for our freedom. Thanks guys! I know we are not supposed to say anything devisive here, So I trust it will be ok to give thanks to our Creator who has been so good to us. Happy Thanksgiving one and all, Steve

How is it you folk wait so late for Thanksgiving on Nov 25th? Why no move it up to when there is good weather on Oct 11th like us? We are working on Christmas now.

I am from Canada but i would also like to echo two phrases: 'I know we are not supposed to say anything devisive here, So I trust it will be ok to give thanks to our Creator who has been so good to us' Amen. After all, where would we be without him? And the second phrase: 'Happy Thanksgiving one and all' Happy Thanksgiving good neighbours down South :)

I would like to echo the holiday sentiments.

I have much to be thankful for for sure. I was handed a full-time temporary job that fit in with my part-time one to add some much needed cash.

I have my first grandchild, a baby boy.

Mother Nature gave us a beautiful snowfall overnight. While my property suffered no damage, some 2200 residents lost power when tree limbs crashed down onto service entrance power lines. I awoke this morning to the tune of chainsaws.
Six inches total for our area of Kansas. Now a bright and sunny day WHICH I AM VERY THANKFUL FOR!
I NEED my sunshine.

Having just returned from an overseas business trip, I have had my bale counter reset on why I too am happy to be an American. Thanksgiving is a very unique holiday and has become an American time of fellowship with friends and family for no other reason than to stop and remember the good that we have around us. Eat well and enjoy the family and friends around you. Give thanks to the Good Lord if you want, I will. And to each of you on this forum, I thank you for the wonderful camaraderie we so enjoy.
