Planting Milo with JD 71 flexi

I would like to plant some bean ground in milo next year with my 71s what will I have to change a friend has a set of AC planters he has to change the seed knocker to a star shaped wheeled will I have to do this or will I have to change the entire hopper bottom I know I will have to have a set of plates and let me before anyone else (the answer to everyones planter ?s) Lincoln Ag Products sells them the rust scare in beans already has me thinking Thanks Kip

You WILL need the "star knockers". You will also need (the correct size) seed plates made for your specific size milo seed. Lincoln Ag is the best source for them. I have a chart at home for the sizes and part #'s you will need. You can still purchase MOST parts through Deere, or go to the Yetter Co. for parts. They bought the rights (from Mother Deere) to the #71 flex planter. They will sell you the star knockers too.

It will be after 3:00PM before I get home.

You will find that Lincoln Ag is very cooperative, and has all the parts you need at a good FAIR price. The reason you keep getting that answer is they are about the only game in town when it comes to seed plates...

I also have a couple #71 owners manuals I'm selling, in addition to a TON of seed plates. John
