I posted a forum a while back about a gearbox that had failed on my mower. Thought I'd try one more time before I give up. I have a batwing rotary mower from Alamo/Terrain King that has a 540 rpm gearbox on the wings and center sections. The center one failed sometime back and I've had little luck at finding a replacement. A new one was close to $2000, and I'm sure the mower isn't even worth that w/ a good gearbox. I'd like to salvage it to mow 10 acres of rocky pasture we have, but don't want to stick that kind of $ into it. The part # from them is 00755598 and is a 24 tooth input sprocket in gearbox. If anyone has any idea where I can go to reserect this one for a reasonable amount, please contact me. Would be very appreciative. [email protected] Thanks for your time.

Look up BOSTON GEAR CO on the net.Call them or write for their catalogue. The have hundreds of gears on the shelf as well as lots of gear boxes, transfer cases, sprockets and etc.I have used them in a pinch several time. Also look around on the net for other gear mfg.Possibly Lufkin Gear would be a good second choice.Good luck. Ol Chief
