Came across a mounted one today, owner used it on an MF 165. Looked fairly clean, had been shedded, color was good, rollers weren't too bad. Am wondering if the mounts would fit an MF 245 with the 'round' axle housing. Also, were these problematic given not many were used, at least around here.

That picker is not a common machine. I have seen one MF picker in my life, and that was a 62 2-row mounted on a 165 narrow front. I would say if it is cheap enough, grab it and make (or have made) mounts to fit your tractor. Round axle housings on the 245 should hold it fine, as my grandfather put a Ford 1-row mounted on an MF65 for 40+ years with no trouble. Well, I should say no trouble with the housings, putting it on could sometimes be trouble. Park it on concrete or at least put the jacks on pads. Settling 1/2" on one side after parking will make it a ^#$%* to put on again!

MH also built a self porpelled picker, A 2 Row. I have saw 1 0r maybe 2 in my life time. They were few and far between.
