I am trying to restore a horse drawn stalk chopper, but have not been able to find any information about it. If you can tell me anything about them or where to find the information it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Their is some picture in the catalog Encyclopedia of American farm implements and antiques if that helps. I had one earlier in the year I sold.

I found that I have a Moline stalk chopper, now I will try and see if I can dig up some information about when it was made, and what it looked like origianally. Thank you all so much for your responses.

Start by taking a wire brush to it, and see if you can find the manufacturers name, a model number, or something. Once you have a name, then maybe you can do a search and learn what you need. I am sure there are some websites with the info you need, but I don't know of any. Don't be afraid to come back here and ask again. Also, you might want to post a picture of it in the help identify section. Look on the left side of this page, under galleries.

Thank you Rustyfarmall. It is definately going to take more than a wire brush for the clean up though lol.

I am sure it will. My suggestion was just to help you find the manufacturers mark so you could start researching.
