I went an looked at a New Idea Uni Systemn yesterday It has every thing with it except the grain head for the combine attachment. It is in pretty good shape, Cab has air but dosn"t work. 4 wheel drive that works. 3 row narrow corn head for the chopper and a grass head that is in real good shape. I am thinking about getting it to help out with the chopping around home. The only thing is I don"t really know much about running one or what to expect. The used it to chop alfalfa silage last spring and says it chopps good. How will this chopper do in corn? I am intrested in any infoyouall may have Thanx JC

Just a thought but didn't AGCO buy out the manufacturer. I heard that AGCO quit making parts for the UNI systems. Somthing to check out.

I forget what chopper my neighbors run on their 709. The chopper itself works great, but they have had some problems with the corn head..... ...Not sure exactly what it. They have a 708 with a Perkins, and the 709 with RWA, powered by a 426 AC Turbo. Usually they chop and pick ear corn with the 709 and combine with the 708. IMO, they are good machines for crop/live operations.
