I have acquired an older fairly heavy duty 8' blade and a bale spear/loader. Both are fast hitch and about a 28" spacing. I cannot use them and am thinking of either putting them out in my yard for sale or converting them to 3 point. The bale loader has two very strong arms and could maybe be made into a pallet lift except that they get a little thick on the back end. Does anyone know if there is a demand for them and what would be a price range.

In northern Indiana an 8" 2pt blade in good shape is $250-$300 at a dealer. I am looking for an 8" 2pt blade. If you are close to North Central IN. and decide to sell, please send me an email.

I see so very many people on here asked to be sent an email, but they do not unhide their email address. How is that supposed to work? :)

Not meaning to pick on you, just one of those things that catches my eye, & I wonder why....

When I unhide my email address, I include nospam in the middle of it. I hope that the person trying to contact me will notice to remove the nospam from the address. Sometimes in my post I will tell them to remove it if they want to contact me. I do not know if altering my email address in this way will stop the spammers, but I thought that I would try something as it is nice sometimes to correspond directly.

Crem: As the others have said, it all depends where you live and who is looking for these items.

If you convert these items to 3 point, cut the fast hitch forks off at a point 6 inches behind stop block. There are always people looking for those forks to use in fabrication of some equipment to fast hitch. In fact I am one of those people, but again distance is the deciding factor. Shipping small heavy items is expensive. I have walked away from these over the shipping. There are two sizes of fork and to me the large are worth $60., small $40. in my yard, and it must have enough length to build from.

I live in the western WI area. Thanks for the information on cutting off the fast hitch at the proper place. I don't think that I will do that but rather put them for sale in our local Foxy Shopper paper so that they can be used the way they are. The fast hitch part on the blade appears to be built extremely heavy. It is tough to lift the forks up by hand. Can you tell me the dimensions for the two different fast hitch sizes?

Crem: The hitch forks, and measurment is taken at deepest point that enters the hitch socket. Large is 3" and small is 2.5".

My opinion is...with fast-hitch equipment rare and saught after by folks who have Farmall/International tractors who would like to have/use such implements, it would be a shame to "butcher" them by converting to three-point. You could place an ad on this site or Red Power and I am confident you would not have a problem selling them. If I had a bigger Farmall, I would be interested in the blade. Keep the board informed of your decision. I would like to see other comments on this also. But, I do realize this is "your" equipment. Where "bouts do you live, if you don"t mind sharing this info. Thanks for your posting.

Guess it depends on where you if there is a demand for them. I know some one that would probably like the spike. I'm in Missouri
