i have a JD 8W sicklebar that i have been looking at instead of working with for a couple years now (it was a freebie from a neighbor). the problem is the hitch. the JD dealer found the design drawing for the integral hitch to enable me to mount the 8W on my JD 2010, but i wondered (before going to the expense of getting one made) if there is a way to adapt/convert the 8W to fit safely on my 3pth? anyone succeeded in doing so? steveVT

I use an 8W on my 430 U. I have the JD mount or most of it. If you look at a parts manuel for one believe it shows the various mounts and would not be hard to build one. On thje other hand if you can buy one from the post below for $25 you can't go wrong.

I have a mount, $25.00, you pay shipping.

I bought a mower with no mount. I later bought a mount off of ebay. Got mount, and went to install mower, mower had been STOLEN, so I have no need for the mount!
