Does anybody know the manufacture dates of the JD 666 H plows? I just bought a 3 14 666H.

If I knew the mfr period for these I would be happy to tell you though I do have a question regarding this model of Deere plow. Do you know if these have a heavier top frame than the 55 555 plows? I have wondered about that. I think the top beam members on the 55 555 plows are around 3/4 inch thick. R Wyler

The 666H plow has 1X3 inch top frame members and is heavier than the 555.

Thanks Randy yes I was thinking 3/4 inch on the 55/555 and it is 1 inch and the 666s have 3 inch tall beams. I imagine that makes those plows very stout. Nice looking plows. R Wyler

Go to "Help Identify" site and look at JD plow.I first thought that the plow was a 555,but the more I think about it, I think that plow may be a 666 model. Both of the 666 plows that I owned had the box beam like the one in that picture.

Thanks msb Yes that could be the 666 model since it has a box beam on top of the fram I had a 55 and it had the square piece of stock running across the top. R Wyler

Thanks for your help. No, my plow is not for sale. I intend to restore it and show it with my 620 row crop.
