Does anyone know if you can have tires made to fit steel wheel implements. I have an International corn binder with steel wheels that is pto driven, that I would like to be able to transport from one farm to another on the road without having to trailer it.

how far ya gota take it, around here we have towed steel wheeled stuff on the road and never had a problem, just have to go a bit slower, as long as they are flat steel wheels they wont damage the road surface, i have even towed my steel roller on the road for a ways

I would just take the tread out of a heavy truck tire cut to the width of the steel rim and using holes already in rim (If any) and bolt on, but you will not gain anything if you cut the wheels down and cut the value of the machine. I fave never seen a PTO drive binder, not used in my area but a lot of ground drive were and I have a ground drive JD corn binder

There are a number of ways to do that. By some trailer spindles and weld them on, take spindles from a car and weld them on, or even cap the steel wheels with rubbur from a car/truck tire

Hi, about 50 years ago my dad had the steel wheel replaced on a grian binder by a truck rim (those old split ring type) taking it to a welding shop that cut the spokes on the steel wheel and welded them to the truck rim.

A suggestion
