Anyone have an idea what a jd hay loader would be worth?Am going to look at 1 sat am .It is pto driven has a truck plate and an end chute for corn also.It will lift as high as a round corn crib.Tires are ok supposedly do not have a model # tho. They want 400.00 for it and not sure it will be worth that.Need opinions.

Jack,
I'm a little confused. Are you talking about a grain elevator? Open, not auger. Used for ear corn, hay bales, etc. Who wide is the elevator itself, not the truck. 12 inches, 18 inches? I'm guessing about 40 foot long if it reaches a round corn crib, especially if it will reach the middle. If the chains, sprockets, are in good shape, and the flights are good and not all bent up, then I think you are right in the ball park. Most go at auction here in So. MN anywhere from $200 on up to about $700 depending on condition. I hope this is helpful.
Take care

Hello
Thanks for the info.It is supposedly wide enough to lay a bale on flat.It is not supposed to be bent or dinged up.Yes he said it could be used for ear corn also with the attachments he has.But it is open and probably 18-22 wide.
Thanks again ,at least I will have an idea what they go for and can go according to condition.
thanks
jack
