I am planning a few trenching jobs next spring but cant justify buying and would rather build something that would get the job done than rent one. I know many of you are talented in recyling parts and I would like to know what the rest of you have built for this job. I'm not looking for major depth, just around 12 to 18 inches and maybe 3 inches wide would work great.

Thanks to all you experts!

Chisel plow shank, several passes. Mount on a tractor loader or skidsteer bucket. Easy cleanout of the trench with a tile spade.
