Hello, Maybe this is the wrong place to ask this , but I'm looking to buy a older square baler to do a few hundred bales a year. I have to go with an older one as I am very limited on what I can spend. I just wondered if anyone from the Missouri area had one stuck back in the dark corner of their barn they weren't using anymore.

Scott

I've got a IH Model 45 that I never use. It's complete and tied a few dozen wheat straw bales last summer. The knotters need adjustment but, although I have the manual, I haven't got the time to do it. Nor do I have a rake, which I need the most. The machine is yours if you want to pick it up.

Hello Dave, Do you know if the 45 is close or comparible to the 46? What part of Missouri do you live? I might be interested in coming to look at it if you haven't got rid of it. Thanks.

Scott

I don't know for sure, but from the pictures I've seen of the 46 they look pretty much similar. We are in St. Louis.

Hello Dave, When would be a good time to come look at it (days? nights? weekend?). I'm just North of you in Lincoln County and I work in O'fallon. Also, what are you asking for it? Thanks.

Scott

This is a scanned pic from last summer, so it's not very good but the 30 hp WD pulled the baler no problem.

Asking $200 at most. Some evening after work would be fine. Farm is located around Festus.
Call me @ 314-843-2016 in the evening. I'll try to post a pic of me using it last summer behind our Allis WD.

I've got one, but I'm too far away to do you any good. You might try posting this in the Classified section of this site as a "wanted" ad. It's free and someone may see it that can help you.
