Farmhand loader have a small manure bucket?

I have a model 10S Farmhand Loader with an 8' demountable bucket (back of bucket turns into a dozer blade about 4' long) and it is too much for old 450IH to handle in dirt. Wondered if anyone had a smaller bucket. I haven't yet found a manual for it. Are they still in business?

I spent a little quality time on Google last year and found a wide range of buckets and other attachments available for the F11. Smaller, used buckets were going for $250 your choice of teeth or smooth. Let me know if you have trouble finding them, I'll give you a couple of websites.

While we are on the topice of F11, does anyone have any ideas on how to "expand" the PTO on the hydraulic pump? Everytime I want to bush hog, I have to remove the pump to hook up the hog. Thought you guys may have a brilliant idea (besides buying a second tractor.) Thanks to all,

Yes, Dug, I would like that. Please share a source or two that you have on dirt/manure buckets. Thanks. I live between Waterloo and Cedar Rapids in northeast Iowa, so fetching might be a problem. However the old Chev pickup and two wheel trailer are just itching to get on the road. I have chased (hauled) kids all over the country with that rig and loved it. Leonard

Hi Dug,

Sure, just drop by any implement dealer and pick up a PTO extension. I think they run in at about $35 or so for the long one (18", if I remember right), which you'll need.

Put the extension on the PTO shaft, slide the pump onto the extension and there will be enough of the extension shaft sticking out of the back of the pump to let you snap your implement on behind.

I used to bunk feed using a Farmhand equipped tractor pulling a JD Chuckwagon. Works slickern' a sock on a rooster.

It sounds too simple. Can't tell you how many headaches I've had taking that pump on and off.

Where are you in NE? I am just south of Lawrence, KS home of the mighty Jayhawks! Off to another stellar football season, but basketball is just around the corner!!!

Are you sure you have a F-10? Sounds more like a F-11.

The reason I ask is because the backs of the F-10's buckets were not a "dozer blade" as you describe.

However, the F-11's were. Does your loader look something like this one?

Yes, Farmhand is still in business but are now owned by AGCO. Dealers are located all over the world.

I have the smaller 'material' bucket also; can shoot you a picture after it gets light outside if you like.

Thanks for the picture. Mine is pretty beat-up with extra plates welded on the knee and wobbly joints. I planned to use for rural living snow plowing and brush piling, but the IH 450 row crop (with fluid filled rear tires) has hydrualic rheumatism I think, so it isn't much fun to use. I have a lot of dirt to move, so was hoping I could find a used small bucket. Thanks for all your trouble posting that picture. Closer inspection of the battered ID plate does show it to be an F-11C sn: 28314

Farmhand did make smaller buckets for their loaders,including a manure fork, a square nose dirt bucket and a dirt bucket with teeth not sure how many other styles of buckets that were available but there are others.
