pop-up hay loader

Some one gave me a old square hay loader.The chain is broke the paint is gone ane can not find a name.How many co. made a pop-up loader? THANKS FOR EANY HELP

Depending where you are... In the midwest, probably the most common was the Kneib (Green and Orange, or just green). They were originally from St. Joseph, Missouri, but have been out of business for years. I understand that they also made the Bushhog and John Deere. The chain is available as aftermarket, so I hear, but I don't know where. It is based on a standard size chain, though, with extra ears that can be welded on. Links, etc, likely available at any farm supply store. If the loader is too bad off, find another for parts is probably your best bet. They work in almost any condition, though, like with only one wheel driving, etc. Good Luck

I think some other brands were Cherokee (?) and Clinton (not good - chain comes off alot).
