I"ve got a "59"IH 240 that came with a hitch that I think is a "old style" 3 Point, and I saw 2 pictures somewhere that had both old and new.But I have"nt been able to find them anywhere again.Does anybody have any pics that show both types.Or have any Lit. on the subject?Any Help would be appreciated!!!!

When you say an 'old style' three point, do you mean something else, like the IH 'Fast Hitch', which was a two-point attaching system? Three-point hitches have standards that go back many decades, and they do have three attaching points, two on the bottom, and one on the top. That is the only true 'three-point' system. IH had the Fast Hitch, AC had the Snap-Coupler, with one lower point and two upper ones. The three-point system was eventually adopted as the standard for all tractors, and are now available in four categories. All 3ph category dimensions are at www.asae.org., the website for the American Association of Agricultural Engineers.

I have a Super C with 2-point and a adapter that converts it to 3-point.
