Need help to ID old side delivery hay rake on stee

I am in need of help with identifying an old side delivery hay rake on steel wheels, metal spoked both front and back. I haven't been able to find any names or numbers on it. The only thing I have to go by is that the spokes on the front wheels still have some yellow paint on them. I'd like to clean this old girl up and giver her some new paint...if I knew what color.

I had the same problem with my old rake. Finally found an IH stamped into the gear box cover. It does an excellent job and the 2 inch piece of tree trunk that I left attached where it grew around one of the spocks is a conversation starter.

not much help pard, JD and (I think) IHC were both yellow, and I wouldnt be supprised to find Moline was yellow also. All I can help you with, is, if its a JD, there will be a D stamped on the hubs of the back wheels. They were all made so much alike ( in my mind) that I cant tell a nickles difference between them. IHC had a model that had a big flat chain that drove the reel from the wheels. NI had a lid that you opened to get to grease the gears that drove the same thing. Is it a 3 bar of 4, not that that made any difference since all made them both ways. Sorry for no help. Good luck
