If you had a tedder, just ted it as soon as you can get on it. Do it a couple of times and then rake and bale when dried out. Hard to tell the difference between it and non-rained on hay. Been there done that.

Anthony, I had a field of first cut that was down twelve days and got rained on nine times. It was ready to bale twice and twice the custom round baler was on his way to the farm when the rain hit, finally got it rolled up, it stayed cool and I flipped it several times and although you would think it would be garbage, the cattle seem to like it and when I drop one into the feeder they all crowd around..lots of clover in it, it can't have the nutrients in it it should but the cattle are on pasture and are cleaning up bales in the feeder and they look plenty plump..go figure!, the next field I cut was done on a Wednesday and square baled on Friday..beautiful green dry hay...., second cut went well too...you can never count on the weather to help you out when you lay hay down..... Cattle love that old brown stiff clover. Don't understand it, but they do.

Liken unto sorghum that has rotted. Full of booze (fermented grain products) and they get DRUNK. LOL

Mine love it.

What else could it be?

I just got a round of hay baled. Everyone in this part of the state was getting their silage equipment greased up - & we got about 4" of rain in less than 2 days. South of here they had 12-14" of rain. You won't hear much about it, as the hurricane gets all the media attention. But, we had 60 plus mph winds, and a foot of rain in southern MN. Schools closed, interstate closed, farming going to be difficult. A little rain on some cut hay is no big deal.

Wow. Hope you the best. I am a couple hundred miles too far West to get any benefit from Ivan. Would like a couple of inches of rain to set up my last cutting.
