I was at the MN State Fair and saw this rear mounted pull type snowblower and thinking this might be just what I need. Currently I have a Farmall 300 Utility with a 5' 3 pt. blower. I have Arps half tracks which I reversed the tires and installed the tracks backwards to get the traction in reverse. My road is about 3/4 of mile long and get tired of looking over my shoulder. Anyone have any experience with these?

I have a pull type 78" unit that was made / sold by Deur while in development. I us it on a MM 302 which is a 55 HP tractor that has about 24" of clearance underneath. That tractor also has a plow blade on the front loader arms. If the snow is too deep I can push or pull some off with the blade and the get rid of it with the blower. I only got to use it twice last winter and it seemed to work great. I also have a Loftness 6' standard rear mount on a Ford 3000 tractor - 40/45 HP - and the pull type is a lot easier to drive.

Hey, Snow means hunting season is here and I love hunting. So I will say it SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW . HE HE I will take 10 below with blowing snow anyday over 100 degrees and no wind. Sorry Jimmy just had to do that. ;+)

Sorry if I offended anyone, If the County road wasn't plowed, No need to plow my road except to get to the mail box and who wants to do that. The County is great for here fore keeeping the roads open and I have no problem with the windrow they leave.

Sure wouldn't work in this country, especially if we get one of those blizzards, which leave the 7' snow banks.

How ya gonna drag a snowblower over the top of one of them, I wonder..... Naw, better to back into �em.

Good Point. One vote no.
Actually, I'm very protected by trees and don't get much drifting. The Biggest problem is the windrow from the County plow where I've always had to use the loader and still would.

With a rear mount pull type blower, you'd have to be out blowing before it ever got deep. Wouldn't work for me, we get deep drifts overnight. Would be nicer to drive forward though, that's for sure!

I use a rear mount push type blower on one tractor, and the loader on another one.

Next time I see an old grader for cheap, I may just buy it. They often go for less than a small old tractor, and have a cab and heat and everything! Since my tractors get used as much for snow clearing as for yard or field work, it wouldn't be wasted money.
