You have cat 1 3pt hitch. This defines the size of the lower pins, the upper pin (slightly smaller than the lower ones), the spacing between the lower pins, and the vertical height between the lower & uper pins. The length of the arms is also specified, to preserve an accurate arc of motion & pto length from one tractor to the next. Cat 2 is bigger in all dimentions, typically for bigger implements requiring more hp. Cat 3 is again bigger in most dimentions for implements that are heavier or take more hp. There is a very common cat 3 narrow, which shares the same width between pins of cat 2 implements. This makes it easy to use cat 2 or 3 implements on the same 100-150 hp tractor.... Cat 4 is bigger yet, for bigger loads, and also has a narrow version. These cat 4 are kinda rare, really big stuff. Cat 0 was invented for real small garden tractors, and rarely do the tractor makers follow an apporved standard in this class. Things are all different sizes. It is also becoming common for the super sub compact new tractors to come out with cat 1 hitch size, but the arms are only cat 0 in length. Makes for ill-fitting implements.... --->Paul
