Bought a 400 cycle 6 row planter. I would like to plant sorghum in a few food plots next year. Did IH use the same drums in the 400, 800 and 900 series planters? Thanks for the info.

Joe, When we went from our IH 400 to an 900 planter. I remember the drums were different. The 900 seed drums were set up initally for a 8 row set up, Where the 400 was set up for 6 rows. It has to do with the depth of the drum. And the plastic seed manifold inside. A standard 900 drun has 8 rows of seed hols where the 400 has 6 rows.
