Plow Tire Question

I just got my Titan tracton lug tire today for my NO. 8 Little Genius tracton wheel. This tire has similar tread to a tractor tire. I asked the salesman for the proper direction for rotation. He told me tire does not matter if it is driven or a driver, the direction is the same. I have always thought the tire direction should be reversed. Am I right or is he?

According to Good Year the tread should always be pointed into the direction of travel. I have noticed that a tractor breaks traction quicker in reverse than forward, and that would be the same effect as reversing the tires.

You are correct. Think of as if the plow wheel started slipping, would it get more traction if the tread pulled trash under the tire or do you want to fine firm traction by pushing the trash away from the base of the tire.

It always seemed to me that you should reverse them, but the plow will probably get enough either way. My trailer plow (a green one) just has a snow tire and it works fine.
