I need pictures of concrete mixer similar to this one. A tire is mounted at base of mixer and is driven by PTO. I"ve got all the pieces but the top link mechanism and without that it is a boat anchor. This was made in Wichita, Ks. in the 50"s

As stated by others, the original version of the TransMix mixer does not use a top link. The TransMix was made by Universal Pulley Company of Wichita KS. Later, a newer version was made by Carlson Company also of Wichita. I don't know if Carlson Company bought Universal Pulley or if it was just a company name change. Either way, I've not been able to find any trace of either company in existence today. The later version appears to use some sort of top link connection but I haven't figured it out yet. This photo shows my old version TransMix mounted on my Ford 800 in the dump position. I have a series of about 25 photos which you can access from the link below. When you get there, click on "page 2". Start with the last photo, click on that thumbnail and then click "previous" to scroll through the photos in order. I also have a Word document with all the photo captions if you want it. Just email me and I'll send it. My email address is not blocked.

Unless I am badly mistaken you need Jim UT to respond. I think this is a Transmix like he has and he has a series of pictures on how to install on a tractor.

Hi B,

I don't have any pictures, but the other fella is right. It doesn't use the center link.

It should have a linkage arrangement that "tilts" & "dumps" the thing when the lower arms are raised; then, it will let 'er back down on that tire drive/PTO when you lower the hitch.

They are the slickest little outfit I've ever seen for "do it yourself" concrete work.

I think that the mixer does not use a top link. The mixer dumps by raising the lift arms and the top link would prevent it from dumping. You should have 2 strap irons that go on the fenders to protect them. The drive bolts over the PTO. The main frame hooks on the lift arms. That's about all I can remember. I do remember that we would use a whole bag of cement. I can't remember how much stone and water. Hook it up and try it. I'm almost positive it does not use a top link. LOL
