Hey Unimog, we finally got a chance to try out the bale buncher last night. It worked quite well and drew a crowd of about a dozen people by the time we finished.Lots of laughs and stories were shared by the time a couple of hundred bales were dropped, and picking up was finished. Our thanks to you for the pictures and measurements that helped our project along. Please mention this to Jim (UNIMOG) if he is out of the area. thanks, Kent in NB

Bale buncher?

Does it arrange them into 8s?

If it does they are commonly used over here in the uk in conjunction with a flat 8 grab

(picks up the 8s)

Can we see the pics?

Ben , it is basically a basket with a trap door. You hook it behind the baler and bales drop in. When its full, open the trap and the bales slide out.Depending on bale size, will hold 8 to 10 bales. The one we are using was purchased new in the sixties, and did close to fifty thousand bales per year in its prime! Then came round bales.

Kent, glad to hear the buncher worked for you. I
just finished most all of my second cutting and the buncher was real handy because the bales were
farther apart due to the lighter crop. I use mine
near the road and I have folks stop and watch but
only one at a time not 12. Thanks for the feedback

Hi Jim. We have another 70 acres of 2nd cut silage and baleage to go. We just need some more good weather. Been a tough year for forage. Take care.
