IH 60 4-14 Plow, Convert to 3 bottoms?

I'm wondering if it's possible to convert a 4 bottom Ih 60 plow down to 3 bottoms. Saw something mentioned once about removing the offset rear beam, just checking to see if this is true and how tricky it would be. Thanks for the help.

Kerwin: It tells you how to do this in the No. 60 plow operators manual. It's almost as simple as you describe, you just move the rear wheel to the third bottom. It suggests buying part number 525 352 R1 being the linkage rod for the 3 bottom plow. I doubt if you can buy that anymore. On shortening it doesn't give the different lengths. I would think if you shortened it the parallel distance from no.3 to no. 4 bottom you would have it. You will also have to adjust the pull hitch to suit. It is then just a matter of removing the 4th bottom and the offset rail.

That is pretty much as the manual describes it.
