Used one but little tire was a pain always flat . I like the drawbar ones better

I am not exactly familiar with that model,is it a V rake or single inline wheel rake. The inlines are real poplular in my area and thats what I use but it is for sale as I am going larger model. The main trick to wheel rakes is don't run them with tio much down pressure. They are not a disc,this will solve the stories of dirt and evrything elser you heard of them raking up. They will drift down hill sides to some extent yes (inlines) you can make the back wheel steer thou buy putting a hyd cylinder back there to compensate. I don't worry about it as usually its not enough to worry about and you can just compensate by driving little different. I would not use the bar rakes at all any more compare to these,IF YOU SET THEM RIGHT AND NOT TOO DEEP. Rotary rakes would be my next try out thou. Rick ps I have several rakes fellow farmers want to sell,bar rakes and wheel rakes if I can help you any. If you have real small patches thou the wheel rake is not goood for them stay with the bar rakes.

Some folks like wheel rakes and other hate wheel rakes just like anything else. I believe the carted ones work better. One thing to keep in mind is that they are ground driven and will get some dirt in the hay. Some advantages are that they are fast and cheaper than other styles of rakes that cover the same area. I believe that they work best in grass hay. I don't know why they would have problems on hills. Durablity depends on the person, but I don't expect them to last as long as those New Holland Rollabar rakes.
