Anyone ever see/build a machine that will separate horse manure from bedding? The price of shavings has gotten out of hand, and I could see it making $ense if one could construct a machine that could separate the good from the bad in bulk loads for commercial horse operations. I spend more than $5k a year on bedding, and if I could reclainm 50% of that annually I'd be happy. I've seen vibrating table based machines, but they don't make sense for big operations (20 or more stalls. Noodling around with a blower based concept, but no sense reinventing the wheel. Thanks for any info about similar machines.

I have seen plans for a winnower that is used for small amounts of grain. It is a y shaped tube contrapion. The blower is at the base of the y, blowing up and out the right side. The grain is poured in the left arm. The light stuff gets blown out the top of the right side and the grain slides out a slot near the base of the y. The left branch is a smaller diameter than the right.
