Can u run plastic Twine in a 276. It has new knotters. Also the belts on the thrower are missing. Can u squeeze bales through the thrower without the belts turning. Thats not the belts inside the thrower the belts from the pto that turn the throwers belts.

baled up 2 nice kicker wagons and another 75 with it. Ran in to problems stupid me old twine used it anyway she ran over to the new bail of twine and worked great. Like they say never use old twine. The 276 was somewhat impressing. Just have to figure out how to adjust that spring that controls the belt speed in back.

In your operators manual it will show you how to file the edges of the bill hook to allow you to run plastic, if you don't do it the plastic will will will hang up on the bill hook. i've tried to run plastic through brand new bill hooks and it always hangs up, the plastic needs a little extra removed from the bill hook so the wiper arm will take it right off the hook. i was awful nervous about filing on a brand new bill hook knowing that i couldn't return it after, but following the manual i have never had any problems...

No mechanical reason not to run plastic twine. A special billhook for plastic twine is available, but I know of only a couple balers I service that has them, and many balers never see sisal twine. You can run the bales through the thrower if the apron belts turn freely. You might want to decrease/eliminate the tension on the rods that support the upper apron. That will be obvious when you look at it.
