Have a Dearborn plow, tag reads 10-56. Can anyone decipher? Also what would have been original color? Are there any books with color photos for Ford implements?

According to "Ford Tractor Implements" by Chester Peterson Jr & Rod Beemer, the 10-156 plow:
"Ecomony Plow, 14 inch, two bottom includes: 14-inch economy frame (10-181), 14-inch economy bottoms (10-166&10-167), rolling landside (included with frame)(103000) less coulters and jointers."

My original (not re-painted) 10-156 is red. It also has coulters (10-174) and jointers (I don't know model #). The shares and shins are available through TSC, I bought landsides from FNH. N-Newsletter has reprints of manuals.
Hope this helps.

Decipher? I think that's the standard Ford N series tractor plow. two 12s, 3 point, category 1. I had one 15 or 20 years ago, don't remember it having any paint. I saw a newer one maybe 45 years ago, I don't remember the paint color.

Machinery gray wouldn't be far off, I suspect.

There might be more on the Ford N pages.
