Ford Belt drive mower

I have a nice original Ford belt driven 7 foot sickle bar mowing machine. I am not sure of the model number. The mower is blue and the model number was on the large belt pulley cover but has long since worn off. It seems like the numbers might have been a "615" but I am not positive. The cutting blade is held in place by a massive bolt that is attached to the cutter head gear box.

Thanks for any suggestions as to the model number and possible model year.

Yep, sounds like my 515. You should contact New Holland publications at 800-635-4913 for a copy of the owners manual, it'll help you a lot.

Most parts are still available from New Holland, although a few are quite pricey. It's a good, sturdy machine.

Its a 515. I sold mine last year, its a good mower.I went to a mower-conditioner,after using the Ford for 15 yrs.I should have hung on to it for a backup or just mowing along the road. You can still get most of the parts from New Holland. Good Luck!!
