IHC Farmall Manure spreader chains

I have restored an old IHC / Farmall pull type, ground driven, manure spreader (circa 1935) and need several chain links to complete the apron portion of the project.

Chain links are approximately 2" wide, OAL is ~3.25", pitch is approx ~2.9" Center square holes are approx. 1.1" wide x 2" long Rolled clevis portion is approx 1.06" wide x ~1" OD Appears to be about 4.1 to 4.2 links per foot


I cannot find any detachable chain link specifications or standard size, so cannot determine the correct part number.

Might you have chain links or detachable chain link standard sizes to help me complete my project? Or could you suggest a source for replacement links?

Take an old link to any farm equipment dealer and the partsman should be able to get the right one for you. Every link should have the size stamped on it, but over time, and rust, it disappears. Partsman should be able to match to the right one as long as you have an old one.

If you havn"t been successful in getting the links, there is a store in Greeley, Co., Moreta Equipment. What you want is an S link that was specific to Farmall/IHC. The cross bars also require a right and left. I also have extras from several spreaders that I"ve refurbished.
