feed grinder setup

I need setup and engine horsepower/rpm requirement information for a 30's vintage McCormick Deering 10 inch feed grinder..

If it is a 10 inch IH burr mill like what we had in the 50s, we ran it with a WC Allis-Chalmers. Belt pulley on the burr mill might be an inch bigger diameter than what was on the tractor. Ran it nearly wide open= pto speed.

If you mean how to adjust it for fineness of grind- just turn the cranks tighter to get a finer grind.

Thanks again for the tips.. I hope to get a fine corn meal from the machine. there is a spring that loads pressure on the engaging lever that I wasn"t too sure about, and then the husk cutter bar adjustment. opposite the burr adjustment crank on the clutch yoke is a simple bolt with a jam nut and I assume I would just try to keep it relatively the same length as the adjustment crank bolt so that everything looks square?
