I have a NH S717 chopper consigned at an Eastern NY IH dealer. A fellow called them, wanted to put $ 500.00 down, have the dealership go through the machine, put new tires on it and have it delivered 120 miles, all sight unseen.
He called me on the phone and said that the dealership would not do yhese things with a consigned machine, and would I see what I could do. I found that this man had done the same thing at this dealership before with a consignment and left them hanging for money and title to the machine. So he was blacklisted except for cash up-front.
I do not think I would enjoy being blacklisted by a major NE dealer in a business where I needed them more than they needed me. Unfortunately, these guys are messing up the used equipment business for everyone. My graditude to my dealership.

Interesting.

I used to haul dirt. It was yours while it was on the truck, but the minute it hit the ground it wasn't yours any more and if the customer decided to not pay, you don't get paid.

You don't come back with a loader to get it either, as this type person will sick the sheriff on you for trespassing.....can't shoot him.....sheriff will get you for that too.
