today i saw a Hesston 5600 rounder just like mine rolling out 4x5 bales (thats 4'wide and 5'high),
when i stopped at the edge of the field and walked nearly 20 acres across to see him i noticed that it was missing 2 outside upper belts and he added a thin sheet metal cover over the top and back of the baler, but the man said don't even think of looking inside cuz he wasn't gonna open it with me standing near it.NOW WHAT WAS THERE INSIDE TO HIDE????? this man was very old and disgruntal. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF A ROUNDER MAKING 4X5's?????

Not sure what he was hiding :-) or about Hesston brand balers but most folks here use a 4' wide baler. I run my 4x6 NH 650 set 4'x4'-6' depending on if I running wet or dry hay and if I'm feeding on site or shipping. 4x6 is fine to feed on site dry, 4x4.5 is plenty for wet hay, for selling, at least here a barn stored 4x4 or 4x5 brings the same price or more than a bigger bale.
