A week or so ago I remember seeing a post somewhere on the site about plans for building a bale wrapper. Can anyone point me to that post. I looked high and low and cant find it, but I know i saw it somewhere.

Combine rotor and hydraulic motor were what I remember in the prints I had that was used to drive it. Had a chain drive that seems to me was a 2" gear on the motor and a 10" gear on the rotor with a #40 roller chain.

this evening i stopped at the same field that i seen a Hesston 5600 rounder rolling out 4x5's and tried to talk to him then earlier in the day when this man had no intentions of talking to me. this evening i saw him using some kind of 3 pt bale wrapper. knowing that he would probably shoot at me this time if i tried to see this invention he came up with i decided to pull out the binoc's to take a closer look see this time he was nearly a 1/2 mile, i wa still in gun range if he had one, and i got a good look at the wrapper. it appeared to have a large pulley on the end of large shaft that went through 2 pillow block bearings about a foot apart then on out to what looked like a normal bale spike with the 2 bottom mini spikes on it to keep the from just rotating on the main spike, i couldn't get a good look at the drive system he had but he was standing back by the bale with what looked like a 12" or 18" roll of white shrink wrap. from the looks of the 12 bales that were wrapped they looked like a big machine did them, he had a little kid out there (grandson??) with a big stencil and a can of black spray paint that read " NOT FOR SALE, DON'T ASK!!!" if you figure it out before me please post, i'm thinking about building one for myself.

unverferth makes a bale wrapper that mounts on your 3 point.We had one and it worked great. Used 18 in or 60 in wrap
