I purchased a set of Herschel Adams plow shares from Valu Bilt for a Case Model BX 14" plow. The Shares are numbered: C164RS. I was told that the shares are an "universal fit" for both 14" and 16" Case BX plows. However, these shares do not correctly fit on my 14" plow at all. The bolt holes line up properly, but they are much longer and wider than the originals. Has anyone else tried these?
Thanks.

I am guessing the width is what the orignals were spposed to be and possibly the length is full cut over short easier pull type, need full cut for deap heavy roots

Leroy,
Thats what I was thinking when they first arrived, but the shares are much wider (not thickness) and when the plow is on a flat surface, the shares hold the plow about an inch or more higher than the landslide, and the landslides are only slightly worn. Most plows that I am used to will stand upright with the bottom of the share and landslide on an even plane. With these shares, the share is the high point. They also stick out about an inch or so from the edge of the shin and moldboard. I havent plowed with it yet, but it just doesnt seem right to me.

Sounds correct for the landsides as they are not supposed to run on the bottom and sounds like was done on some oliver shares and that was changed the holes to use a different landside that was thicker and Oliver made some of the bottoms for Case
