Need McCormick Swather Canvases

Yesterday, I bought a IH pull behind swather. I'd don't know the model number yet. It's complete except for the canvases. I need to know where to get a pair. I plan to use the swather so I don't care if they are "original." I just need them to work.

I don't know about your area, but in my area, various implement dealers and farm supply stores stock replacement canvasses in bulk rolls. Hopefully, they will have it in the width your machine requires. They have charts listing the length required for many common machines. It is just a matter of cutting off the required length from the bulk roll, attaching a splicer, and you're all set. If you can't find it in your area, email me, and I'll give you contact information to one good source. (In North Dakota, but I think they'll ship anywhere.)

I tried the implement dealers today with no luck. On the bright side, they said they'd sell me a new swather that comes with canvases already installed.

I wasn't sure if the implement dealers could make them anymore. I didn't want to go to my local Case/IH dealer since they have a way of screwing up an order even if you walk in with the right part number. (I'm refering to the local bunch, not the company as a whole.) I'll shop around and see.
