Implement dealer has one on the lot. For $3250.
Is that a fair price?
Also can I run that with a Farmall 400 50 HP?

By changing the main drive sprocket from the 13 tooth to a 12 tooth sprocket you will slow the baler down 8% and this will help you with your HP. The baler will still make a good tight bale if you do this, we at CCM have done hundreds of balers like this for customers that needed some extra HP. It is very inexpensive to do this to the baler.

I have a 605f and have pulled it with a 460D 52hp, 756 pulls it better. You can pull it with a 50 hp just a little slower.

If the dealer has had it in the shop and been through it that is a good price. You might not want to bale a full bale since you are on the low end of HP but you can put up a bale of hay.

You can pull it but you will be changing gears often. You really need 60 HP with a 605G Vermeer baler.

I've had a "G" for many, many years; great machine, but the price seems a little steep for a baler that old; guess it depends on the condition it's in and how well the dealer will stand behind it. I've never used anything smaller than a 4020 (currently use 4430 and like that better), but a next door neighbor used to pull his with a 5000 Ford (in flat land); don't know about your Farmall; how steep are your fields; do you need to bale 15-20 bales per day or 100-150???
