jc/pa, Paid $2000 for mine in 93. Was in almost pristine condition. Got it from a couple that had banker troubles. We picked it up in Hill City KS. Then drove 750 miles home here in Central Texas. At that time, a very good 2250 loaders were going for well over $2500 to $3000
My local IH dealer had a waiting list for used loaders when one showed up.
I would say that $2000 or so would be a good price for one if in good condition. Check the pins for slack, bucket and frame not sprung, nor welded on all over.
Hope this helps.
Later,
John A.

Around me, a pretty penny! Nearly everyone I have ever talked too really likes that series of loaders.

Hmm, the one on the 584 we used has had to have the arms reinforced twice now and we find it really slow. It will pick up a lot of weight though! It has the HD bucket on it. The dump and rollback angles aren't as good as new loaders.

Trying to think of the heaviest thing I've lifted with it... 30 ft long, 36" diameter tree, cut green. Could pick it up but even with cab, loaded tires and 2000 lb snowblower on the back the rear tires couldn't get enough traction.
