I have a Ford 501 sickle mower. I am looking for parts for it. The parts I am looking for are the two big springs and the threaded adjustment arm running inside the spring for the leveling of the cutter bar. Can these parts still be purchased from a Ford dealer?

I don't know if it would fit, but parts are available from New Holland for the NH 451/456 sicklebar mowers. A few pictures of the 451 lift spring are located here:

Not sure if you can or not. Tell you what I did though. I have an old New Idea sickle bar mower with springs and threaded eye bolts. I got online and found several places that will manufacture them to specs. Just provide them with the specs (measurements) and they do the rest. I'll send you the websites when I get home. The new parts look just like the old ones and work well.
