I saw one sell at auction Saturday. It was a nice one. It sold for a real good price. Anyone know what thet're going for? (Average price for average condition) I'm not going to say just yet how much this one sold for, but I thought it was WAY high. Everything brought big money. If I ever decide to call it quits, I'm calling the auctioneer that ran this sale! He drew a buying crowd, and played them like a bass fiddle..... Saw several things sell for more than new prices. John

Havent seen a 1044 sell, I gave $5100 for my first 1034 out west and sold it for $8000 here in KY. Seems to be about the area mark up (it was in good shape when I got it and I did some cosmetic work to it). I've gone and gotten 2-1033's and another 1034 (that I'm using now). Thats about the spread, anywhere from $4500-$5000 out where they are common and mark them up $2500-$3000 here.

Shows you what I know..... (No wonder I'm still working 18 hours a day, 7 days a week)
It sold for $4600. It was in extremely good shape. I thought they sold cheaper than that. Guess the guy got a bargain anyway. He said that he already owned one, and din't need two, but couldn't pass up a bargain..... ..John

Wish I'd been there, it would have brought $6K or come home with me.

What is a 1044, self propelled or pull type? Have heard of 1032, 1033, 1034 and self propells at 1045, 1046, 1048 and on up but not a 1044.

May be the auctioneer, heaven knows when one gets "popular" he can sell rust for gold. Hay racks are getting pricey here. I think that a lot more people are cutting hay than used to be and are buying up the used equipment at a premium.
Coming home from an auction Saturday I saw a truck carrying two old wagons stacked on his back end. Can't help you with the price.
