I need to learn about electrical systems on Farmalls. Specifically my 300 was converted to 12 volt by previous owner and there are multiple unrelated electrical problems with the machine. What do you suggest? I would like to start on general theroy of different components and how the systems are supposed to work. I should have taken auto shop instead of college prep - but would rather not go back to high school. Appreciate your thoughts. Dick Davis

Dick, if you study the operation of individual componenents in electrical systems, it really takes a lot of the mystery out of it. Another good source for basic information is the link below. It won't make you an expert but it gives you enough information to relieve some of the anxiety of working on electrical systems.

Check out some of the articles in the Research & Info column on the left side of the page. It's an excellent starting point.
