I have a NH baler that has 68 on the serial number tag on the front of it. How can you tell if it is a super 68 and what is the difference between the 2. Also in what order and what years or order were the NH 66, 67, 68, 268, 273 etc manufactured.

I have a 68 hayliner and a super 68,, only real difference I have found is that the super has a rope that goes into the twine compartment,, the rope is on a pulley like deal and when you pull it tight it raises the pickup,,I use the super as parts and everything so far has fit the 68 hayliner...Jim

John, if your tag has 68 only, it is a model 68. If it was a super, the tag would have the letter S as well. The 66 was first in 1954. Then the 68 in 1956. The S68 in 1958. The 67 comes in here somewhere. The 268 came out in 1963. The 273 came out in 1968. Steve
