ford 515 sickle mower

Can anyone tell me how to check the oil in a 515 sickle mower? I dont see a plug anywhere on the thing.Also can you tell me where to get a manual for it? I checked the archives but couldn't find anything.

Before you tear the wobble box apart, look on the upper side for a sheet metal plug, round, with fingers to hold it in. pry this plug out and you can reach a grease fitting that is inside. There may be two inside, can't remember at the moment, I'll have to look at mine. The rest are outside. One at the very bottom. There is no reason to fill the box with grease. All it will do is fly out the bottom by the sickle drive.
Been there, done that.

Being very very careful, stick your finger in the hole Geo mentioned and feel under the wobbler for the zerk. You will have to rotate the cutter to roll the zerk out toward the hole (Geo mentioned) so as to be able to get the grease gun on it. There's only one in there Geo.

There is no oil in the 515. The wobble-box should be filled with grease. You take the round top off the box, think it is 3, maybe 4, bolts holding it on. First time I got mine open I pulled out all the old grease and bearings and re-packed with fresh. That's also about the only part you cannot get from New Holland, so it is important to keep it greased.

You can get the manual from New Holland publications, I think it runs about $8-10 or at least it did when I got mine a few years back. Call 'em at 800-635-4913.

I just wanted to thank everybody for the responses. I found the grease fitting in the wobble box, and got a manual ordered.
