I have a MF 1560 round baler and the system that puts tension on the bale does not seem to put any pressure other than the weight of the components.I am assuming the fluid is low or empty. I would like to know how to put hydraulic fluid into it. It appears to be a closed system with no type of resevoir. Also, how to set the tension once it is filled. Thanks for any help. Nick

Bale tension comes from the large springs on the side of the baler and the hyd. cylinder in the center of the baler. The cylinder can be recharged and rebuilt. If the guage is not showing any pressure. I would do both. The repair is fairly inexpensive and it is an easy cylinder to rebuild. The manual will tell you how to recharge. The 3" pipe in the system is the resevoir. There will be an allen screw that sets the tension. All parts can be gotten from a Vermeer dealer as well as Massey.
